American Crusade – Pete Hegseth

American Crusade – Pete Hegseth

America is at a cross roads. If you listen to the liberal media today, the cross roads is one that shows them defending the rights of the abused, the neglected, the underprivileged, the poor. They do that by telling them the “government will take care of them, taking money from the big, bad rich people and giving it to them. And making laws that lift them up and make them into better people…just for them.

On the other side, is a group of people that believe in the foundation of this nation. That believe each individual should have the opportunity to decide for themselves what their future will hold. To make mistakes. Learn from those mistakes and move on to greater things and become better for it. They believe the founding fathers of this nation knew what was best…

There is a war going on in this nation right now. We have never been so divided as a nation since the civil war. Some say it may very well turn into another civil war. We have to wait and see…

My guest today is Pete Hegseth, cohost of Fox & Friends Weekend, a Fox News senior political analyst, and frequent commentator across Fox News and Fox Business platforms. Pete has just released a brand new book, that is awesome, titled “American Crusade!” This book is mobilizing like-minded, conservative, God fearing Americans to rightfully take their stand for their Faith, for God and for our country.

In addition to “American Crusade,” Pete is also the author of the highly-acclaimed 2016 book, “In the Arena.”

Add to that, Pete served in the U.S. Army for twelve years, (as did I), doing tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo Bay, earning two Bronze Stars and a Combat Infantryman’s Badge. He currently lives in New York, NY.

Help me welcome to the program, Pete Hegseth! Pete, thank you for joining us today!

First question, Pete, I always ask is this…Other than that brief introduction, tell us in your own words, “Who is Pete Hegseth?”

In your book, you contrast the differences between two different people named Omar. Can you briefly explain those two very different perspectives of how these two immigrants view America?

In your book, you outline your initial support for other candidates in 2016, besides Donald Trump. You state that your opinion of him changed when you observed how many of the leftist were coming out against him. Was that kind of like, “If you hate him that much, he must be doing something right?” type of moment?

You graduated from Princeton, a bastion of conservative values and patriotic Americans, right? Were you the rebel with a cause back then? Or did this sense of patriotism come about because of your military time?

Your book breathes life back into the American values that have been all by washed away by the socialist left. I love how you emphasize the “common sense attitude” of normal Americans. But yet, the leftists and elitists are of the attitude, “We know more than you do, so listen to us.” What was your background that brought you to this conservative attitude?

One chapter I found especially interesting is called, “Divorce, Death or Dawn for America.” Upfront, I’ll say I agree with your assessment 100%. But can you explain for our listeners why you included that perspective on America’s future and what is it you meant by that statement?

You use the term, “Americanism” in your book, Can you explain what you mean by that term?

In the second section of your book, you discuss many different forms of “isms.” I think we can see many of them on display right now. How do we fight against all these “isms?”

Towards the end of your book, you talk about “this is our moment.” And you give a three word answer about where we should focus and start. And it is also one area the left has been fighting to control since the early 1960’s. And we are, of course, talking about education. In your book, you talk about sending your diploma back to the University or college or at least stop supporting them. Would you care to elaborate on that point?

You talk about becoming a Crusader? Immediately, I can see liberals rising up because of the use of that word, “Crusader.” Can you explain what it is you mean by that?

Finally, I know we are out of time, but you encourage people to fight fire with fire and use the leftist tactic of “becoming a complainer.” You say, “It’s not about making friends with these politicians, it’s about saving the country.” Would you tell our listeners how they can become someone who can make a difference by becoming an effective complainer?

Pete, we are all out of time. If someone wanted to get in touch with you our order a copy of your book, how can they do that? How can someone get a copy of your book?

I’ll be putting links to all of this down in the show notes.

Folks, you need to get a copy of Pete Hegseth’s book, “American Crusade!” This book is needed in such a time as this. Just reading it will want you to go out and join the military and try to become John Wayne! Or, in Pete’s case, “superman” – but you’ll have to read the book all the way through to get that inside joke.
