Episode 152 – Interview with ZORO pt 2

Hello everyone everywhere, this is Pastor Robert Thibodeau and I want to welcome you to a DUAL broadcast of Everything Church Related and the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast…today I want have the extreme privilege of brining you someone who has been in the music and entertainment business – and can give us some perspective on the Spiritual side of that business. He is also a believer and that has brought him before some of the influential powers that be…the FAVOR of God is upon him and I am blessed to introduce – ZORO the Drummer, ZORO the speaker, ZORO the author…folks, help me welcome to the program…ZORO!

Now, Zoro and I have been talking back and forth for several months…I am blessed to say that we have stuck up a mutual friendship over that time…Zoro, I want to tell everyone just a little bit of your background…just as an introduction…is that OK?

Folks, Zoro is, first and foremost, a Christian. He is one of the world’s greatest drummers…in fact, he has played the drums for famous musicians such as Linny Cravits, Bobby Brown, Frankie Valley, New Edition, Earth Wind and Fire, Lisa Marie Presley and many others…

But he is an inspiration to many…he has worked with these different artists and yet, he works with business leaders, youth groups, speaks in churches, speaks in various meetings all around the world.

In your book, SOAR, you talk about delusion…can you explain how that impacts the youth of today? And not really JUST the youth…but this generation?

How can we impact this generation with the Truth of the Word – when all around us is the works of the devil? You were able to escape that worldly impact while working IN that world. How can we do that?

You are committed to your family…in your book, you talk about sacrificing your time, working, ministering, taking the ready eye home in time to take your kids to school. Many parents work the extra jobs to “get stuff” and they think they are doing it for their family…but many kids just want their parents home with them.

A lot of kids today are rejected by their family…rejected by employers…tell us how you overcame your rejection in life.

Now, you will be coming to the Baltimore area at the end of October for a Youth Rally… I want to tell you, the pastors of this area are really excited about this event. It is lining up to be a great evening.

October 28, 2017 at the Eastern Assembly of God in Dundalk, Maryland…for those listening in the Baltimore area, it is on Wise Avenue in Dundalk – for those outside of Baltimore, it is just northeast of Baltimore city.

I am a 12 year Army veteran as both enlisted and as a commissioned Cavalry Officer.
I am now a retired law enforcement supervisor...

I had my own business for seven years before I entered law enforcement.

As a cop, I was injured on the job on May 12, 2007 and after several surgeries over a couple of years, forced to retire in 2011.

As I was looking down the road to “what am I going to do next?” I started what is now known as a podcast (I had no clue at the time).

Within six months of starting (what I called) “My online radio program” I was offered an opportunity to be on nationwide AM radio. I learned A LOT in one year of doing that!

I then started the online Christian radio platform "Evangelism Radio" in the fall of 2010. It has had listeners in 160+ nations and all 50 states. We host 50+ Christian broadcasters on a weekly basis. We have been operating 24/7 for almost 14 years now. We have been rated #1 in the world by Shoutcast. com on several occasions in our genre. We recently transferred ownership of Evangelism Radio to another ministry so I could concentrate full time on podcasting, preaching and writing.

In 2018, I started the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast to conduct interviews with Christian influencers from all walks of life and to play their interviews on the radio station. (The KCR Podcast has its own time slot on Evangelism Radio)!
We now have over 1600 episodes and almost 1100 interviews (in just over 6 years).

Looking out at the future of online Christian media, I noticed there was no viable platforms that catered only to the Christian podcast market.

In 2023, we launched a networking platform called, "FaithCasters" which connects "Great Christian podcasters with Great Christian Guests!" This helps to promote the work you do through podcast interviews! Check it out at https://FaithCaster.org

We recently launched "FaithCaster Academy" which serves as a training hub for ALL of our trainings (podcast training / speaker training / interview training, etc.). Members receive access to ALL of our training programs for one low, monthly membership fee. Members also receive FREE access to ALL of the LIVE trainings I conduct (1 or 2 per month) - while non-members have to pay to access the live trainings.

Between my podcast training program, conducting podcast interviews, appearing on other podcasts as guests, speaking at conferences (in person and virtually) and the podcast networking platform, I guess you could say “I’m all in” when it comes to podcasting and online media!

My total focus is to do all we can to assist you to “Get The Word Out” about your mission, services, products, ministry, books, business, etc.
