Reaching the youth of today is so important for the continuation of a successful society. But yet, especially after the pandemic, we see today’s youth in turmoil. Any sane person can clearly see the difference those two years made in today’s teenagers. It is evident in the grades in schools, in the interactions they have with those in authority, etc.
It’s been said that the youth of today are going to become the leaders of tomorrow. If this nation, if this society, wants any chance of continuing to “live the dream,” we need to reach the young men and young women will be our leaders tomorrow.
Following that calling, our guest today has been doing just that. Ahmard Vital is a motivational consultant, international speaker, ministry leader and author who has been sharing inspirational guidance around the world. He is providing these young people with the tools they will need for personal success. They are learning how to utilize their willpower and determination to overcome obstacles and achieve their personal goals – all while making society better as they do so.
His latest book, “Now What: 5 Steps to Get Up and Create the Most of Life,” is a guide for young adults who want to have concrete, practical solutions for their problems. It does not matter if they have been raised in troubled homes or embroiled in the criminal justice system; it does not matter if they are in the university systems or finished with college… if they have no clear path forward, this book, “Now What,” is designed to help them steer their life towards productivity and fulfillment.
Ahmard started his own company, “That Guy Media Group,” where he has been helping small businesses and non-profit organizations in dream building and goal setting.
Help me welcome to the program, Ahmard Vital. Ahmard, it is so good to talk with you. Thank you for taking time to come on the program and share about what you do and all about this amazing book.
First question I always ask is this. Other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Ahmard Vital?”
Something I did not put down in the introduction, because it would have taken a bit too long to cover all of it, but you were a successful college football recruiting analyst and also a Fox Sports affiliate, correct? Tell us a bit about your life during that time, just to lay a bit more background…
You are focused on making an impact in the lives of our future leaders. How are the societal factors today different from what they were when you were out recruiting, etc.?
Helping these young people become the leaders of tomorrow is definitely a ministry calling. Proverbs 22:6 clearly tells to “train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Is that what has been happening today? Nobody is training the youth in the way they should go?
You shared that your father’s death actually helped you to strengthen your faith. Can you explain how did that tragedy could strengthen your faith?
You are also a ministry leader at your church in The Woodlands, Texas. That’s near Houston, correct?
