The Hunt for Good Neighbor – Jason Lee

The Hunt for Good Neighbor

Jason Lee

“The Hunt for Good Neighbor,” which was inspired by novels by C.S. Lewis. Jason uses allegories to tell the story of spiritual journeys to encourage the readers to persevere through adversity.

The “Hunt for Good Neighbor” follows Annette, a young girl born into a mob family. On her 18th birthday, she must complete a rite of passage to enter into their ranks. She must reach deep and grapple with her own identity, failures and, inevitably who she wants to become. Annette must decide between her past and her future, all the while facing the challenges of living off the land and the exploration of the wild country.

“Hunt for Good Neighbor” is a timeless novel that speaks to young adults setting out on their own life journeys for the first time and anyone who connects with elements of faith and struggle.

I don’t know about you, but I’m hooked already! Amen!

Jason is an accountant by day, but a writer by choice! He is also into mountain climbing, rock climbing and – of course – writing! Amen!

First question I always ask is this. Other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Jason Lee?”

How did you get started in writing Christian fiction?

And why did you choose this story line, one of a mobster’s daughter coming of age, for this book at this time?

You dive into three major elements in this book. Would share those three elements with us?

How do these three things affect our Faith?

So, tell us a little of the plot line. I always thought that mobster’s daughters had to make a choice to go into the business or not. How did “Annette” decide, or end up, having to join the family business?

What kind of situations does she face during the test?

What does she discover about herself in the process?

How can that apply to the readers or our listeners?

Do we have our own “testing” that occurs as we discover God’s purpose for our own lives?

What common temptations does the average person face as compared to those faced by Annette in your book?

Do you have any other books in the process of being written?

Jason, this sounds like a fascinating read. I believe our listeners will really enjoy this book. How can they obtain a copy? Is it on Amazon?

If someone wanted to get in touch with you, to ask a question or maybe do an interview such as this. How can they do that? How can they get in touch with you?

Folks, everyone likes a good read. Just to break free from reality and life happening around us. Television is the thing most people use to take a mental break. But you have to actually become numb to what you see happening on TV. Then, there are the thought interrupters called “commercials” that happen.

These things do not happen in a book. As most of you know, I’m an avid reader. I read anywhere between 18-24 books per year. And Jason Lee’s book is one that I highly recommend. You need to get a copy for yourself, right now – today! Amen!

In fact, whether you want to think about this or not – Christmas is coming soon! I would recommend you purchase three or four copies of this book and give someone you love a great Christmas present this year! Something that will be different from the sweaters and gift cards that seem to be the thing nowadays. A book is something they will treasure. Especially a great book like “Hunt for Good Neighbor” by Jason Lee.

Go down into the show notes and order your copy – COPIES – today! Amen!

And while you are in the show notes, reach out to Jason. Ask your questions. Send him some feedback on the book, too! Amen!

Profile picture for Robert Thibodeau

Robert Thibodeau

I am a 12 year Army veteran as both enlisted and as a commissioned Cavalry Officer.
I am now a retired law enforcement supervisor...

I had my own business for seven years before I entered law enforcement.

As a cop, I was injured on the job on May 12, 2007 and after several surgeries over a couple of years, forced to retire in 2011.

As I was looking down the road to “what am I going to do next?” I started what is now known as a podcast (I had no clue at the time).

Within six months of starting (what I called) “My online radio program” I was offered an opportunity to be on nationwide AM radio. I learned A LOT in one year of doing that!

I then started the online Christian radio platform "Evangelism Radio" in the fall of 2010. It has had listeners in 160+ nations and all 50 states. We host 50+ Christian broadcasters on a weekly basis. We have been operating 24/7 for almost 14 years now. We have been rated #1 in the world by Shoutcast. com on several occasions in our genre. We recently transferred ownership of Evangelism Radio to another ministry so I could concentrate full time on podcasting, preaching and writing.

In 2018, I started the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast to conduct interviews with Christian influencers from all walks of life and to play their interviews on the radio station. (The KCR Podcast has its own time slot on Evangelism Radio)!
We now have over 1600 episodes and almost 1100 interviews (in just over 6 years).

Looking out at the future of online Christian media, I noticed there was no viable platforms that catered only to the Christian podcast market.

In 2023, we launched a networking platform called, "FaithCasters" which connects "Great Christian podcasters with Great Christian Guests!" This helps to promote the work you do through podcast interviews! Check it out at https://FaithCaster.org

We recently launched "FaithCaster Academy" which serves as a training hub for ALL of our trainings (podcast training / speaker training / interview training, etc.). Members receive access to ALL of our training programs for one low, monthly membership fee. Members also receive FREE access to ALL of the LIVE trainings I conduct (1 or 2 per month) - while non-members have to pay to access the live trainings.

Between my podcast training program, conducting podcast interviews, appearing on other podcasts as guests, speaking at conferences (in person and virtually) and the podcast networking platform, I guess you could say “I’m all in” when it comes to podcasting and online media!

My total focus is to do all we can to assist you to “Get The Word Out” about your mission, services, products, ministry, books, business, etc.
