Vertical Momentum Resiliency – Richard Kaufman - pt 2
Vertical Momentum Resiliency
Richard Kaufman - pt 2
Richard Kaufman’s father left when he was just 3 years old. He grew up moving from school to school. He dropped out of school in 9th grade. He had already become addicted to alcohol by the time he was 12 years old. He joined the Army at age 17.
Because of these untreated alcohol issues coupled with the immaturity, Richard eventually was discharged from the military. This led him to becoming hooked on drugs and even found himself homeless.
He eventually was arrested and then given the option to either attend rehab or go to prison.
He made the correct choice and went to rehab. Eventually, he was able to obtain a special good conduct waiver and reenlisted in the Army. He spent a total of 24 years in military service. But even that was not without mishap. I’ll let him tell the story on that…
On that infamous day of 9-11, Richard, after seeing the tragedy that had unfolded, made the decision that he was going to change his life forever. He dedicated himself to helping others. On the darkest day in American history, Richard Kaufman seen the light and changed his life.
Now honorably discharged, married with 3 children, he is sharing his story about his journey. He helps other retired veterans overcome their obstacles, whether that be health, fitness, addiction, or mental illness related issues.
He has a podcast called the “Vertical Momentum Resiliency Podcast” and has a Facebook Group by the same name. He has been interviewed on dozens of podcasts and been featured in magazine and he is the author of the e-book available on Amazon called, “A Hero’s Journey – from Darkness to Light.”
What was one of the worst decisions you made in business – and was it because you did not listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit? In other words, if you would have listened, things would have turned out differently?
What was one of the best decisions you made BECAUSE you listened and then implemented what you heard from the Holy Spirit?
The last time you were on, you had a different podcast. When and why did you switch over and start this podcast?
Tell us about your business and how you help others now…
Richard, this is so awesome. You mentioned your book, as well as your podcast. How can someone get more information on both?
I’ll put all of this in the show notes.
I’ll put links to all of this in the show notes below.
Folks, we may never be called upon to fly an A-10 in combat or go to the farthest reaches of the planet to witness for Jesus. But each and every one of us has a calling in life. Amen!
Richard has his calling – to be a blessing to others and to help veterans as well.
His book, “A Hero’s Journey,” is available as a Kindle download on Amazon. BUT – if you will reach out to him via email or on social media and tell him you heard his interview on our podcast – he will provide you with a FREE copy! That is a blessing right there!
Drop down into the show notes, get in touch with Richard. Subscribe to his podcast. It will be a blessing and encouragement to him and it will definitely be a blessing to you.
