There can be no doubt, if you are a believer, if you have studied the Bible or have been reading the Bible for any length of time, that we are living in what the Bible refers to as “the last days.”

But, what does that truly mean?

Are we headed for a crisis worse than COVID? What can Christians do to prevent a total collapse? In seeking answers to these and other important questions, Bible scholar David Heeren turned to the Old Testament book of Hosea, which describes ancient Israel as a land bearing many resemblances to America today.

David Heeren has been on our program a couple of times discussing end time topics over the last couple of years. His books layout clear road signs for believers to survive and thrive in these last days.

David has spent the better part of the last 17-18 years studying the Bible and other references. His most recent book is “What the Bible Has to Say About the USA: The Old Testament Speaks to Americans Today” where David takes us on a fascinating exploration into the Book of Hosea and draws striking parallels between ancient Israel and modern day America.

David, it is so good to have you back on the program again! I appreciate you joining us today!

For the benefit of those who may be new to the program and have not heard our prior conversations, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is David Heeren?”

Why did you write this book “What the Bible Has to Say About the USA: The Old Testament Speaks to Americans Today?”  And why the book of Hosea?

Which of these issues seem to be the most prevalent right now?

Are these things successive in nature?

I mean, is it possible to break the pattern of succession?

What would need to be accomplished to restore Biblical morality and God-ordained Constitutional liberty in the United States – and avoid these things discussed in the Book of Hosea?

In your book, you mention one positive theme in Hosea. What is that and how does it relate to the Book Song of Songs?

And your book, how can they receive a copy? Is it on Amazon?

I am a 12 year Army veteran as both enlisted and as a commissioned Cavalry Officer.
I am now a retired law enforcement supervisor...

I had my own business for seven years before I entered law enforcement.

As a cop, I was injured on the job on May 12, 2007 and after several surgeries over a couple of years, forced to retire in 2011.

As I was looking down the road to “what am I going to do next?” I started what is now known as a podcast (I had no clue at the time).

Within six months of starting (what I called) “My online radio program” I was offered an opportunity to be on nationwide AM radio. I learned A LOT in one year of doing that!

I then started the online Christian radio platform "Evangelism Radio" in the fall of 2010. It has had listeners in 160+ nations and all 50 states. We host 50+ Christian broadcasters on a weekly basis. We have been operating 24/7 for almost 14 years now. We have been rated #1 in the world by Shoutcast. com on several occasions in our genre. We recently transferred ownership of Evangelism Radio to another ministry so I could concentrate full time on podcasting, preaching and writing.

In 2018, I started the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast to conduct interviews with Christian influencers from all walks of life and to play their interviews on the radio station. (The KCR Podcast has its own time slot on Evangelism Radio)!
We now have over 1600 episodes and almost 1100 interviews (in just over 6 years).

Looking out at the future of online Christian media, I noticed there was no viable platforms that catered only to the Christian podcast market.

In 2023, we launched a networking platform called, "FaithCasters" which connects "Great Christian podcasters with Great Christian Guests!" This helps to promote the work you do through podcast interviews! Check it out at https://FaithCaster.org

We recently launched "FaithCaster Academy" which serves as a training hub for ALL of our trainings (podcast training / speaker training / interview training, etc.).
