Anthem of Adventure – Dan Zehner pt 2
My guest today is Dan Zehner, an operations manager for NSF and NASA Research. Needing some excitement in life but finding nowhere to get it, he became associated with “Seal Team Leaders,” founded by former Navy Seal, Larry Yach.
He took that training and became an entrepreneur, forming an Adventure company that ministers to men who also need to feel alive again – and helping them to do so through a variety of challenges, etc.
Dan says, “The need to build a strong brotherhood that is what enables men to lead their families through perseverance and troubling times. To be a leader. To build character. To be able to blaze a trail of hope in their life that will inspire others as well.” Amen. His website is AnthemoftheAdventurer.com and he is also a podcaster – and the name of the podcast is the same: AnthemoftheAdventurer.com
How are you associated with SEAL Team Leaders now?
Now, you talk on your website about using proven Navy SEAL proven leadership and behavior change tools. Does that include something similar to BUDS?
What kinds of challenges do you do?
How did you come up with this idea of creating these adventure teams?
How do you come up with these challenges?
What obstacles did you have to overcome in creating this program?
Do people have to come to you or can they form teams in their local area?
Dan, this is all so cool. I know you have inspired a lot of men out there that they don’t have to take the boring, ordinary life in stride. They can begin to turn it around, one mini-adventure at a time. Amen.
If someone wanted to get some additional information, ask a question or maybe even do an interview such as this, how do they do that? How can someone get in touch with you?
Folks, I don’t know about you, but I’m inspired right now. Amen! I’ve have not heard of anything like this since I left the military 30 years ago. At my age, I may not be able to keep up with some of the more strenuous challenges, but I’m going to check this out. Dan, I’ll be in touch. This is awesome.
