Beating COVID 10 with a
Spoonful of Courage
Dr. Charles Page pt 2
Everyone has tests, trials and some tribulations in their life. It is a part of this life. Christians have a better grasp of understanding there is a life to come. One that we can only get a glimpse of, from time to time, while on this side of Eternity.
But, sometimes even Christians will falter a bit when under extreme pressure. Whether it is sickness, the loss of a loved one, a child battering a terminal illness, the loss of a business or a job. All of these things can test our Faith. Sometimes, even distract us enough to lose sight of our Faith.
Right now, at the time of this recording, this nation (and the world) are dealing with the Corona Virus or COVID-19.
My guest today is Dr. Charles Page from Nacagdoches, Texas. Dr. Page has been on our program before as we talked about his book, “A Spoonful of Courage for the Sick and Suffering,” where Dr. Charles Page shares some examples of how some of his patients taught him a thing or two about dealing with adversity.
I recommend you go back to our archives and listen to episodes 618, 619 and 620, because there was a LOT of good stuff in there that Dr. Page shared.
Dr. Page tells folks that he is the best guy to see on the worst day of their life! Praise God!
Dr. Page is a surgeon, storyteller and author of several books for both adults and children and he has taken time from his rounds this morning to join us on the broadcast and talk about this COVID-19 situation currently in the news.
As a surgeon, you are no strangers to hospitals. With the rapid escalation of the coronavirus, what can you tell us about when and how to be admitted to the emergency room?
If the symptoms are quite serious, who is the procedure for admittance?
Have you noticed any habits or characteristics of those who seem to thrive, despite their health challenges, be it a positive diagnosis of the coronavirus or any other illness?
Dr. Page, in the few moments we have left, I want to jump back into your book, “A Spoonful of Courage” for a moment.
How does your book help in the lives of those going through an illness and can you give us some examples?
Today, with this virus situation, many people are reluctant to go to the emergency room or to see a doctor. So they decide to self-treat at home, to the best of their ability. In your book, I remember the story of a rancher who did not want to go and see the doctor. I remembered thinking, as I read that story, “Are you kidding me?” Would care to elaborate on that incident?
Now, we don’t have the time to get into a book you wrote about the importance of sleep. But it is titled “Surrendered Sleep: A Biblical Perspective.” Can you briefly share about that book for us?
And both of these books are available on Amazon?
Folks, you really need to get a copy of Dr. Charles Page’s book, “A Spoonful of Courage” for yourself. This book is one that will inspire you with each and every story! I am absolutely being honest here, I could not put it down. Each story motivated me to see what was coming in the next story! It is THAT Good! Praise God. Just use the links below to get in touch with Dr. Page and to order his books.
Dr. Page, I thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to come back on the program and to talk with us about the COVID-19 virus from your front lines perspective. I do appreciate it.
Folks, I cannot recommend Dr. Page’s book, “A Spoonful of Courage” enough. I receive books all of the time in the course of doing these interview. I tend to skim through them fairly quickly. But with Dr. Page’s book, I actually sat down and read it, from front to back! It just kept me wanting more! The stories in there are fairly short, just a couple of pages. But you want to keep going to see what amazing story will come next! It is THAT good!
Go down into the show notes and click the link to get your copy. Do it right now. Order two or three. Share them with someone else you care about. Brighten up there day as well.
