Dr. Strange and Marvel Comics  Joe Schimmel pt 1

Have you noticed how popular the Marvel Comic series of movies have been recently? For a lot of people, it may seem like a great break from reality and allow our minds to just ride along with the characters as the battle between “good and evil” are depicted before us.

But, who is really the villain? Who is really the hero? Can you tell the difference? Would it shock you to know that these, entertainment comics and movies are not innocent as we are led to believe?

For example, almost nobody is aware of the true history of one of today’s most popular Marvel characters, Doctor Strange. What is the connection to Satanist Alister Crowley, Satanism, the ancient heresy of Gnosticism and Doctor Strange? To truly understand the spiritual foundation of Marvel comics, we must first understand the influence behind many of the comic book writers.

I have the absolute privilege today of welcoming back to our program, Pastor Joe Schimmel, senior pastor of Blessed Hope Chapel in Simi Valley, California. His background is one that many teenagers in the 1970’s followed, myself included, as we seemed to fall into the “sex, drugs and rock and roll” mentality. It was about as far as we could get from serving the Lord at that time, my life included.

In our last interview, we focused on his exposé of the demonic influence in the entertainment industry. This film was titled, “They Sold Their Souls for Rock and Roll” and it created quite the buzz in the industry at that time. I urge you to look that video up and review it. Today, we will be focusing on the latest exposé release, titled, “Dr. Strange, Aleister Crowley and the Multiverse of Satanism.”

Help me welcome back to the program, Pastor Joe Schimmel.  Pastor, it is so good to talk with you again, my friend!

I alluded to your background story a little bit in the opening, but for the sake of those that may have missed our prior interview, could you share with us, in your own words, “Who is Joe Schimmel?”

And, as I shared, we discussed the 70’s culture and music pretty in depth in episode number 1067 and 1068 in our prior interview. And I know your video of “They Sold Their Soul for Rock and Roll” opened a lot of eyes to the demonic influence of the entertainment industry.

But what led you to take on Marvel and DC Comics in video number two of your series?

You focus on Dr. Strange in this video. But he was not always known as Dr. Strange. Can you share a little bit about what he actually started as in this so called “comic series?”

And Dr. Droom actually was a depiction of a real life person.  Who was that and what was his influence in the Marvel comics?
