As a Christian, do you find it hard to “take a break” from life and just relax with a little bit of fiction? There is so much out there that you do not want to expose yourself to, even if you know it is a fictional work. The need for more Christian literature that benefits young adults is very needful in this day and time in which we live. It is especially important as they young adults begin their faith journey, often on their own for the very first time in their life.

Well, my guest today has written just such a book. It is called “The Yoke” and this book is a story of Faith, Love, Forgiveness and also Redemption – all wrapped up in one riveting story line. This book will have you on the edge of your seat as you wonder what will happen next!

Darrell Dunham is the author of this book. Darrel practicing attorney in southern Illinois. He has been a Christian for more than thirty-five years. He and his wife, Betsy, have five children and seven grandchildren.

If you missed any of the prior episode, you need to go back and catch up. The conversation with Darrell Dunham was fascinating, but today, we will be moving on to a very important topic – Margahm Ministries.

But first, I ask Darrel to give some “words of wisdom” to any aspiring Christian writers, especially those who are interested in writing their first ever Christian / Fictional novel. Darrell gives advice on how to begin and how to avoid a few pitfalls along the way.

Now, before I let you go, I wanted to touch base a little bit about a ministry you are involved with called, “Margham Ministry?”  (Margham means “The Way”).  This is an outreach to the people of India, is that correct?

How did you get started with this ministry?

If I remember correctly, there are FOUR main focus areas you have for this ministry. Can you explain to us what those four areas are?

1. Planting of “house churches.”
2. Support of pastors
3. Teach illiterate pastors the Word of God
4. Helping orphans and widows.
5. Helping a leper colony.

If someone wanted to get more information on “Margham Ministry,” how can they do that?

Will they be able to send in an offering of support through that link?

I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for us to get good, quality, compelling and any other adjective you can think of, Christian fiction into the hands of young people today. Get their minds off of the video games and things like that. Allow the Word of God to get in to their minds in some form or fashion. And Darrell Dunham’s book, “The Yoke,” will do just that.
