A popular topic in Christian, as well as secular, circles today, is the topic of the End Times. People have been talking about the prophetic end times for thousands of years. Every time there is a natural disaster or some type of tragedy involving the loss of life, people talk about “the day and the hour” is coming…
Most people have not studied the end times. Most Christians probably have not studied about the all of the prophetic scriptures that deal with the end times. Many probably have only heard snippets about these things in a passing Sunday sermon by their pastor every now and then.
Well, my guest today has made it his passion to study, document and share what he has learned over the years concerning “the end times.” He has written numerous books on this topic and today, we are going to be discussing the latest book by Mark Davidson, titled, “Chronicles of the End Times – Using an Ancient Reading Method to Better Understand the End of the Age.”
Mark Davidson (a pen name) is a follower of Jesus Christ. He is a life-long student of the Bible, and has studied eschatology, world history, and geopolitics as well. He has now “connected the dots” (so to speak), yielding a new interpretation of the Book of Daniel, which is now being proven by current events we see happening recently in the news. In addition to “Chronicles of the End Times,” Mark is also the author of “Daniel Revisited: Discovering the Four Mideast Signs Leading to the AntiChrist” and “Iran’s Great Invasion – And Why It’s Next in Bible Prophesy.” You can read all about Mark’s books, his blog posts and where he is speaking at his website, www.foursignposts.com I will have links to all of the books and his website in the show notes below.
Mark is a graduate-degreed Aerospace Engineer having worked for over thirty years in the defense and space industries. He and his wife live in Colorado but I’m blessed to have him here with us today…
Help me welcome to the program, Mark Davidson. Mark, thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to visit with us today.
Mark, the first question I always ask our guests is this. Other than that short bio I just read, tell us in your own words, “Who is Mark Davidson?”
Let’s jump right into this book. It sounds absolutely fascinating. Chronicles of the End Times – Using an Ancient Reading Method to Better Understand the End of the Age. What is this book about and how is it different?
That word, “Chiastics.” Can you explain, in layman’s terms for me, what that actually means and how it is used in reading Biblical materials, passages, etc?
We use this in writing today: Introduction, tell them what you are going to say. Body, tell them. Conclusion, tell them what you said as it relates to the introduction.
How did you discover this method of reading the Scriptures?
Why do you think this method, “Chiastics” is not widely used in churches today?

So, let me go back to the question of “What makes this book different” from others you have written or others that may be out there on the market discussing the same “End Times” scenarios?
There are several books in the Bible that discuss the “end times.” I mean, Ezekiel, Daniel, some of the minor prophets, Zechariah, Matthew 24, of course, The Revelation – it is basically interwoven in almost, not all, but almost all 66 books in the Bible. Is there a way to read our daily Bible passages using this method? Or do we need outside resources to better understand this concept?
So, according to your studies, the events we see happening today have already been predicted by this “Chiastic” study of the Bible, correct? What are some of the more obvious ones that you have identified?
What else does this “Chiastic” reading of prophesy tell us? What do you see happening next or in the near future?
So, by using this style of reading, it gives the individual words even greater clarity of meaning? Even those words that are not specifically said, but implied.
Have you received much feedback on this method of reading the scriptures?
In “Daniel Revisited,” you talk about the “four sign posts” or four events that were prophesied about in Daniel 7 and Daniel 8 and again in Revelation chapter six. These events are to occur in the Middle East, obviously, just prior to the Rapture and the Tribulation. How has this method, the “Chiastic” method of interpretation, how has that brought further understanding – or how can it give us further understanding of these passages?
There are, basically, Seven Events outlined for the end times. Fill us in on this and tell us what we should be looking for next?
The chiastic reading of Bible prophecy seems to be able to, basically, revolutionizes our view of the end times and how we read Bible end-time prophecy. This is amazing for one book to be able to do that! I definitely need to add this book to my reference library. This is so interesting to me. Amen!
