Daughters of Tamnarae - Marie Elrich pt 2
Daughters of Tamnarae
Marie Elrich pt 2
With all of the negative news with what is going on the world, sometimes we just need to take a break. Get away with our thoughts. Get away and let our imagination soar, if you will.
We see things on television that just seem to promote evil all day (and night). Anything and anyone who holds to Biblical values is either cast as the clown or as a far-right lunatic.
As Christians, sometimes we find it difficult to watch programs like this or read books that depict the same thing. We need to support artists, authors and movie producers that depict Christians in a positive light.
Yes, we can still have fictional stories and yes we can still allow our imaginations to take us away to distant places… but wouldn’t it be nice to have a story line that provides some perils, provides some troubles and obstacles – things that we can relate to in our everyday lives – but yet the “good guy” wins in the end?
Those are the types of stories that allow us to take the mental break, allow our minds to relax and just flow with the story and not have to worry about subtle evil thoughts entering our minds, hearts and souls.
These are the types of things we need or children, teens and young adults to read as well. Allowing the Christian message to be the subtle, underlying seeds being planted. Amen!
Well, our guest today is doing just that! Amen!
Marie Erlich is the author of a book series I just have introduce you to. Especially at this time of year. Amen!
Her book series, “Daughters of Tamnarae” consists of two books at the moment. The first is “Etania’s Worth” and the second is “Etania’s Calling.” Both of these books were written for young women to let them know that they are loved and called by Christ for a specific purpose.
Maria’s books, although fictional, show that life can, at times, be difficult. But by maintaining our Faith in God, you are able to overcome everything and win in the end.
Although these stories are fictional and are fantasy books, you don’t overplay the “magic” portion of the books like some of the other things out there, right?
Obviously, there must be some “evil villain” that needs to be defeated. Tell us about this character…
Then, we have the second book, “Etania’s Calling.” I take it this is a continuation of the first book? What is this story about?
Do the characters age in your books or will they all be about the same age in the storylines?
What other examples from your personal life are depicted in this book, or the first one as well?
What is the basic age of the audience you writing for?
This is a book series, called “Daughters of Tamnarae.” When will the next book be published?
Do you have a title for that one yet? (Etania’s Destiney)
You also wrote a short novel, or “novella” as they are called, titled, “Toothbreaker.” Can you give us the background for this book?
What led you to write a novella at this point in your career?
Marie, this has been so interesting. How can someone order your books? Are they on Amazon?
If someone wanted to get in touch with you, to ask a question or maybe do an interview such as this, how can they do that? How can someone get in touch with you?
I’ll put links to all of this in the show notes below…
Folks, as I said in the beginning, as Christians and as believers, we have to be careful of what we allow into our hearts and minds. The enemy is smart. He will use the subtle things to try and plant a seed. We don’t need that.
Instead, we should take a break from reality by allowing those who are of like-minded faith and called by God to create these fictional stories to minister to us through great books, like Marie Erlich is doing.
I urge you to drop down into the show notes and click the links right there to get in touch with Marie. Check out her website. Ask questions. But, more importantly, order a few of her books! Praise God. Order one set for you and two or three other sets to pass out as gifts. Amen!
Somebody you know could use these books and enjoy them. You may consider purchasing a set for your children’s ministry at church. The ideas are endless.
Just drop down into the shown notes and click the links right there. Amen!
