Episode 35 – KCR Podcast – Prayer in School pt 1

On Feb 25, 2016 – I was blessed to be privileged to give testimony before the Maryland House of Delegates Ways and Means Committee, in support of a Bill that would allow student initiated, voluntary prayer back into Maryland schools. As I was preparing to give testimony, I had the distinct honor of meeting William Murray III.

You don’t know who William Murray III is? Have you heard of Madelyn O’Hare? The woman who won a ruling at the Supreme Court in 1963 to abolish scripture from schools? William Murray III is her son. He is an ordained minister of the Gospel and was there with me and Bishop Hobson from Baltimore, MD to give testimony and support for this bill.

This is part one of two parts where you will hear the testimony given by Rev. Murray, myself and Bishop Hobson. I have recorded a brief description of the importance of this testimony at the beginning – but you will be blessed to hear what was said in this session.

Part two will briefly recap some of the testimony, then you will hear the questions asked by the committee members. There is also a 2-3 minute rebuttal given by the ACLU on this bill as well.
